Welcome
to waterandlivelihoods.org...
Our
new site brings individuals, organisations, regions and themes together
around the globally important issue of water and the livelihoods of
poor people.
Presenting
a more complete and interdisciplinary picture of the challenges involved
in achieving poverty elimination through interventions in the water
sector, the site aims specifically to:
-
link together key institutions at the grassroots, national and international
levels concerned with water and livelihoods;
- provide
a platform for the dissemination of research, best practice and current
work that addresses the pro-poor aspect of water development;
-
create an immediately accessible forum for debate on how best to reform
current approaches to water development so that new interventions can
achieve more sustainable livelihoods for the poor;
- provide
a one-stop shop for information, documentation, tools, case studies
and briefings for policy makers, practitioners and others working on
water and livelihoods issues at all levels.
Enjoy
your visit and please do spend a few minutes filling in our userneed
form so that we can make your next visit even more worthwhile.
